For our customer, a manufacturer of dressing materials, we built a vision system to control the position of the non-woven material on the plaster. The challenge we faced was to inspect 30 plasters in one second!

The system was enhanced by a very detailed reporting module, including detailed statistics on:

• Plaster position - incorrect distance of the plaster from the edge of the envelope

• Position of the non-woven - incorrect distance of the non-woven from the edge of the plaster

• Non-woven angle - non-woven skewed beyond tolerance (the angle is measured relative to the edge of the envelope)

• Bundle start - an error when the system fails to find the start of the bundle or when the whole bundle is very skewed or its position is disturbed
